Are Shade Sails the Answer to Everything?

Decoration

Shade sails might not be at the center of everything, everywhere, all at once, but they can be the best thing to happen to your yard. Except maybe googly eyes.

First, what is a shade sail?

Shade sails are special fabric installations that are secured either to an existing structure (such as the side of your house or a garage), or across the top of a free-standing structure such as a pergola or gazebo.  You also can utilize shade sail stands to create a shaded area in the middle of an open patio or lawn that would otherwise be in scorching sunlight for the better part of a day.

They can be designed in a number of colors and styles, including creating beautiful geometric designs by overlaying the shapes in patterns when being installed.  No matter how they are put up, shade sails can provide not just UV protection, but also help block the rain, allowing you to take advantage of outdoor spaces no matter the weather!

A shade sail can last between 8 to 10 years depending on the material and the weather exposure.  It can be used to shade a driveway and keep a car out of the sun, or go across a pool so you can enjoy swimming without being under the glaring sunlight

You can even opt for darker colors to ensure even less UV rays travel through the fabric, creating an even more shaded area.  With the right installation, temperatures under a shade sail can drop up to 15 degrees!
